I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The natural beauty surrounding the place is truly stunning, and the pools, heated with natural hot springs, are a nice feature. However, the service was lacking, especially at the front desk, and the dining options were somewhat limited in variety. The room improvements needed left a bit to be desired, and the overall impression was that the hotel could do much better in terms of customer service.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in felt dated and could definitely use some modern updates. The AC worked fine, but there was a broken shower head and one non-functional outlet, which was inconvenient for charging devices.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were friendly and attentive, I had a frustrating experience with the front desk staff who came off as serious and unwelcoming, making my interactions feel less pleasant.
Location

The location is gorgeous, surrounded by nature, with some lovely birds nearby. However, there wasn't much to do in the immediate area.
Dining

The buffet dining experience was decent but lacked variety. I expected more from the food offerings for the price.
Facilities

The facilities included several pools and hot tubs, which were enjoyable, but I did notice some algae in one of the main pools during my stay.

6.4/10

We had an enjoyable stay at the resort, primarily thanks to the beautiful surroundings and the fantastic local tours offered through Frank’s Tours. However, the hotel itself could use some renovations, particularly in the rooms and dining options. The service was mostly friendly, though the front desk staff could be more approachable. Overall, it was a decent value for what we paid, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were in need of serious updates, with aging furniture and basic amenities that felt outdated. While we had two double beds, there were just a few hangers and no refrigerator or coffee maker, which made it less comfortable.
Service
7.0
I found most of the staff to be super friendly and attentive to our needs, except for the front desk who had a more serious demeanor. Their helpfulness made a difference in our experience overall.
Location
8.0
The location was ideal for accessing nature, with beautiful rainforest views and hot springs nearby. However, there were times when it felt overcrowded with non-guests, which diminished the experience a bit.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was lacking, with a buffet that had limited choices and didn’t feel very appetizing. Breakfast could definitely use a revamp to enhance overall enjoyment.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities offered a range of activities, but the aging buildings and amenities such as the thermal pools were in need of some enhancements to fully enjoy.

The hotel boasts beautiful natural surroundings and a variety of pools, but several issues held back the overall experience. The rooms were comfortable, but some maintenance problems detracted from the stay. Additionally, while the restaurant had a spacious layout, the dining options lacked variety, and the staff service could be hit or miss.

The hotel presents a beautiful setting surrounded by nature with several pools and hot tubs to enjoy. However, there were several shortcomings during our stay, including water and maintenance issues in our rooms. While the restaurant ambiance was lovely, the food offered was average and lacked variety. Overall, it was an okay experience but could use improvements in cleanliness and service consistency.

Rooms
6.0
Our first room had issues with the AC and broken shower head, but the second room we received as an upgrade was much better, though not very clean.
Service
6.0
Service was generally pleasant, but the front desk staff was a bit serious, and response times for maintenance were slow.
Location
7.0
The location was gorgeous with beautiful natural surroundings and plenty of wildlife, although there wasn't much else to do on-site.
Dining
5.0
Dining was buffet style, and while the setting was lovely, the food itself was limited in choices and not particularly appetizing.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities like the pools were nice, but the gym and spa services did not meet expectations due to being outsourced.

We had an incredible time at this hotel during our honeymoon! The thermal pools were amazing, and the volcanic mud massages at the spa were a highlight. The location in the lush surroundings was stunning, and we enjoyed a unique boat tour with a knowledgeable guide. However, there were a few downsides, such as some aging infrastructure and less-than-ideal room assignments.

Rooms
6.0
The room was fairly clean and comfortable, but it could have used some modern updates and amenities like a mini fridge and microwave, especially since there was no room service.
Service
7.0
The service was friendly, particularly at the bar, but the front desk staff seemed a bit serious.
Location
9.0
The hotel is situated in a gorgeous area with beautiful nature around, ideal for exploring the rainforest and nearby volcanoes.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast offered a good variety of typical Costa Rican options, although it could have been served with a bit more attention to timing, especially for late guests.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel had lovely large pools and beautiful grounds, but they seemed underutilized, which was disappointing.
